Your role
As a structural engineer, you will play a key role in the analysis, design, and validation of various structures (wood, steel, concrete) for the construction sector. You will collaborate with a team of experts to provide customized technical solutions to our clients while respecting industry standards.
Main responsibilities
Carry out structural assessments to identify and resolve problems.
Carry out calculations of wood, steel and concrete structures for mainly residential projects.
Write technical reports, summary or detailed as needed.
Conduct site visits to validate designs and provide recommendations.
Collaborate closely with team members to ensure the success of projects.
Any other related tasks contributing to the completion of projects.
What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, building engineering (or equivalent).
Member in good standing of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ).
Relevant experience in design and analysis of structures (wood, steel, concrete).
Good knowledge of current construction standards and codes.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
Experience in technical-legal expertise (an asset).

Job Requirements
Hold a Certificate of College Studies (AEC) in building inspection.
Have solid knowledge of construction techniques and building standards.
Be a member of a recognized association (e.g. AIBQ, InterNACHI, ANIEB, APCHQ etc.).
Hold valid Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance.
Master the writing of technical reports and be comfortable with computer inspection tools.
Have excellent observation skills, an analytical mind and good communication skills.
Demonstrate autonomy, professionalism and a concern for customer service.
Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
